What?
I offer personal executive consulting and coaching for top-level leaders in industrial, process, and otherwise “heavy” industries (and beyond), working with them and their teams to develop, strengthen, and expand mental strategies for
- setting directions,
- making decisions,
- leading organizations and people
in an increasingly unpredictable, uncertain, volatile, ambiguous, and complex business environment.
Who?
I combine industry expertise from more than 100 projects with industrial players, utilities, public sector institutions, and associations and deep insights in developmental & transformational coaching, building on
- an academic background in social sciences,
- more than two decades of personal coaching, mentoring and working with teams,
- 12 years of top management consulting as a consultant and partner with McKinsey & Company, Inc.
How?
My consulting and coaching work is based on the constructive-developmental approach shaped by Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey (Harvard University). In my work with clients, I use client-centric interventions in order to
- set targets that link personal and team effectiveness to business context, industry environment, and personal development at the same time,
- understand and describe the mental structures of individuals and teams (as well as their limitations),
- support individual leaders as well as their teams in radically expanding the limits of their mental and emotional comfort zones – thereby enhancing their flexibility, creativity, and resilience.
Why?
Today, top executives in practically all industries are facing unprecedented strategic and operational challenges. At the same time, many executives realize that they also need to address the mental challenges of doing business in an increasingly uncertain and ambiguous industry environment in order to understand & practically know
- why and when tried-and-tested management practices fail and need to be modified or replaced,
- how to adapt patterns of thinking and acting in order to deal more creatively with unexpected situations,
- how to create circumstances that contribute to confidence, commitment, and fun at work (and beyond), for themselves and for others.
